Zitango assists customers create tailor-made trips by connecting them to local travel experts in destinations around the globe. The trips booked from Zitango are designed and operated by the local expert selected by the customer.
The following booking terms (“Terms”) represent your contract with Zitango LLC (“Zitango”, “we”, “us”, “our”). Any payments made to Zitango or participation in the travel services booked from Zitango is an acknowledgment that you have read, understood and accepted these Terms, including any applicable waivers (“Waivers”).
The person making the reservation represents and warrants that all participants have consented to, accepted, and agreed to be bound by these Terms.
BOOKING AND PAYMENT
A deposit is required to secure a reservation. The amount of deposit varies depending on the your trip and will be specified in your trip program quote. Additional non-refundable deposits may be required for flights, ferries, trains, select accommodations, or trip programs that are in peak-demand seasons or events (such as holidays and festivals), as noted in your trip program quote.
Balance is due 45 days before departure, unless otherwise noted. If your reservation is made within 45 days of departure, the entire price of the trip must be paid at the time of confirmation.
Payments will be made to Zitango; your local travel experts are not authorized to receive payments for the trip program you have booked through Zitango.
NOT INCLUDED IN THE TRIP PROGRAMS
Following are not included in the trip program, unless otherwise noted in the trip program: International and internal airfares; costs associated with passports or entry visas or vaccinations; border, reciprocity, airport or departure taxes and fees; all gratuities; porterage; any incidental charges; personal expenses such as laundry, minibar or communication charges; any activities or any meals or drinks not explicitly included in the trip program.
CANCELLATION FEES
Cancellations are effective on the date of receipt through Zitango website or email to info@zitango.com, and are subject to below fees:
- 91 days or more prior to departure: $350 per person administrative fee
- 90 – 46 days prior to departure: deposit amount
- 45 – 31 days prior to departure: 50% of trip program price
- 30 days – day of departure and after: 100% of trip program price
100% of price of services indicated as non-refundable on the reservation confirmation document is charged as cancellation fee for cancellations any time after payment.
CHANGES TO THE TRIP PROGRAM
Any changes to a trip program before the final payment for dates, itinerary or number of people travelling will require a revised quote. Changes to only names require a $30/person administrative fee. Changes for airfare and ferries, including name changes, are not possible and will result in cancellation fees.
Any changes after the final payment date are treated as a full cancellation and new reservation. All cancellation fees apply in these instances.
CHANGES BEYOND OUR CONTROL
We always make the best effort to operate the trip program as confirmed but we reserve the right to change trip program itineraries, including sightseeing, local providers, accommodations, ferries, flights and trains, at any time due to unforeseen circumstances or circumstances beyond Zitango’s or its service providers’ control. Prices are based on exchange rates, tariffs and taxes at the time of reservation. We reserve the right to increase the trip program price in case of any change in tariffs or taxes, or fluctuations in foreign exchange rates, to cover our increased costs.
HOTELS
- Hotel star ratings reflect those of the countries they are located in and may be different from the US standards.
- Most hotels allow check-in to take place during the midafternoon. Requests for early check in, if applicable, will be requested from the hotel, but can not be guaranteed. If you wish to have guaranteed early check-in, please request an additional room night in your trip program.
- Hotel rewards/points cannot be earned or redeemed with hotels in the trip program.
- Specific requests such as adjacent or connecting rooms, bedding requests, smoking rooms and special dietary needs should be advised at time of booking. Please note that reasonable efforts will be made to secure special requests; however, they cannot be guaranteed.
PASSPORTS AND VISAS
It is your responsibility to obtain and carry with you the necessary valid travel documents, including but not limited to passports and visas where applicable. We strongly advise all guests to check with the appropriate government authorities to determine the necessary documents required for their travel. Passports must be valid for at least six (6) months after conclusion of your trip. Visas may need to be “multiple-entry” depending on your itinerary. Zitango is not responsible for denial of entry, delays, changes or cancellation costs due to incorrect, incomplete or expired traveler documents and any associated fines and costs; in such cases, cancellation charges will apply.
TRAVEL ADVISORIES/WARNINGS
It is the responsibility of the guest to become informed about the most current travel advisories and warnings by referring to the U.S. State Department or their respective government agencies. In the event of an active State Department or government agency Travel Warning against travel to the specific destination location(s) of the trip, should the guest still choose to travel, notwithstanding any travel advisory, the guest assumes all risk of personal injury, death or property damage that may arise out of the events like those advised or warned against.
SPECIAL NEEDS
Any special requirements including but not limited to special dietary needs, allergies, wheelchairs and other mobility equipment, or disabilities must be disclosed to Zitango at time of your trip program inquiry so that we can assist you in considering the suitability of the arrangements and/or making the booking. If such requirements arise after the reservation, please inform us as soon as possible. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate the disclosed special needs but cannot guarantee that we can accommodate in all cases. If Zitango has not received disclosure of requirements or disabilities that require reasonable accommodations for accessibility we may be unable to accommodate you for part or all of the trip or any services provided in connection with the trip.
INSURANCE
Travel insurance is not included in the price of the journey and we strongly recommend that all participants purchase travel insurance adequately covering trip cancellation and interruption, medical expenses and evacuation, and lost, stolen, damaged or delayed luggage and personal belongings. In case you must cancel your participation in trip program, trip cancellation insurance may be the only source of reimbursement. We recommend that you purchase insurance at the time of booking your trip so that cancellation coverage can begin right away. Cancel for any reason benefits and waiver for pre-existing conditions also typically require policy purchase on or soon after initial deposit date; please review insurance requirements carefully.
SAMPLE TOURS
Sample tours on Zitango website are only for guidance purposes and starting rates are for per person in double occupancy in three or four-star hotels at the lowest season. Your final customized trip program and rate will be provided for your approval during booking.
COMPLAINTS
If you have a complaint about your trip, you should immediately inform your local expert, who has been assisting you, so that they can attempt to resolve the matter. Please note, if you do not report a problem or complaint which, if it had been reported at the time it occurred could have been resolved there and then we cannot accept any liability in respect of that problem or complaint. If you believe that your complaint has not been resolved through these means then any further complaint should inform us in writing within 30 days of the end of your trip. We take pride in working with you for a satisfactory solution.
CLAIMS AND REFUNDS
No refunds will be issued for unused services, such as those due to late arrivals, temporary absences or early departures from your trip program or non-participation in any trip activities. For verifiable claims to be considered, they must be received in writing within 30 days of the termination of the program and be accompanied by supporting documentation or a statement from the local destination providers verifying the claim. Any adjustment considered will be based on the actual price of the services involved and not on a per diem basis. Zitango will not accept any liability for any claims that are not received within 30 days of the termination of your travel program.
LIMITATIONS ON LIABILITY
Zitango, its employees, officers, directors, agents and assigns, do not own or operate any entity which provides goods or services for your trip. It purchases services from various independent suppliers. All such persons and entities are independent contractors. In case some of these entities display Zitango name and brand, this is only for identification purposes and does not signify ownership or control over these parties. As a result, all participants agree that neither Zitango nor its affiliates shall be liable for any damage, loss (including personal injury, death, and property loss), or expense occasioned by any negligent or willful act or omission of such third persons.
In addition and without limitation, Zitango is not responsible for any injury, financial or physical loss, death, inconvenience, delay or damage to personal property in connection with the provision of any goods or services whether resulting from but not limited to acts of God or force majeure, illness, disease, acts of war, civil unrest, insurrection or revolt, animals, strikes or other labor activities, criminal or terrorist activities of any kind, overbooking or downgrading of services, food poisoning, mechanical or other failure of aircraft or other means of transportation or for failure of any transportation mechanism to arrive or depart on time.
Zitango neither assumes nor bears any responsibility or liability for any injury, death, damage, loss, accident, delay, or irregularity arising in connection with the services of any airplane, train, ship, automobile, motor coach, carriage, or other conveyance, or the actions of any third-party involved in carrying the traveler or in affecting these tours.
GUEST REPRESENTATIONS
You represent that neither you nor anyone traveling with him or her has any physical or other condition or disability that could create a hazard to yourself or other members of the trip. Zitango reserves the right to decline to accept anyone on a trip. Zitango reserves the right to remove from the trip, at their sole expense, anyone whose condition is such that they could create a hazard to themselves, or otherwise impact the enjoyment of other guests on the trip.
ASSUMPTION OF RISKS AND RELEASE
If you participate in activities during your trip program, certain risks and dangers may arise, including, but not limited to, the risk of accidents. You hereby expressly assume all of these risks and dangers travel represents, and you hereby expressly agree to forever release, discharge, and hold us and our agents, employees, officers, and directors, harmless against any and all liability, actions, causes of actions, suits, claims and demands of any and every kind and nature whatsoever which you now have or which may hereafter arise out of or in connection with your trip program or participation in any activities in which you participate.
FORCE MAJEURE
Force majeure means any events or circumstances that Zitango and our respective suppliers providing the service can not foresee, avoid or control, including, but not limited to, whether actual or the threat of; war; riot; civil strife; terrorist activity; industrial dispute; technical problems with transport, machinery or equipment; outages or power failures; natural or nuclear disaster; fire, flood, drought or adverse weather conditions; pandemics, epidemics or outbreaks of illness; and ice conditions in oceans and level of water in rivers. Zitango is not responsible for damages, additional expenses, or any other losses due to cancellation, delay or other changes due to Force Majeure. All such losses must be borne by the traveler.
PROMOTIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY
Zitango reserves the right to take photographs and videos during the trip programs to use them for promotional purposes. By booking a trip program with Zitango, participants acknowledge that Zitango is the owner of the photographs and videos and agree their images, names, and statements in such photographs and videos, to be used for promotional purposes by Zitango. Participants who prefer that their images and statements not be used are asked to inform their local travel expert on a message through their account on Zitango website.
ARBITRATION
Any dispute or claim between the trip participant and Zitango, directly or indirectly relating to the Terms and/or to the trip undertaken, shall be first submitted to mediation in Orlando, Florida, before an arbitrator mutually agreed to by the parties. Each party shall bear its own fees, costs and expenses and an equal share of any arbitrator and administrative fees; however, the prevailing party shall be entitled to full recovery of all such costs and fees. Disputes shall be arbitrated on an individual basis, with there being no right or authority for any disputes to be arbitrated on a class action basis or in a purported representative capacity on behalf of the general public, other travel suppliers or other entities similarly situated.
Any disputes or claims must be brought within 3 months after the date of the completion of the trip and not later.
AMENDMENTS
Zitango may update these Terms at any time. The Terms as listed online at the time of completing a reservation are those in effect.
