    Welcome to Girdwood, Alaska

    Ready for an unforgettable journey?

    Upon arrival at the airport, meet your driver and depart for Girdwood. Today, you will spend the day leisurely in your resort. You can choose to refresh at the spa and relax in the indoor saltwater pool, or you can easily arrange many adventurous winter activities, such as boat tours, hiking, cross-country ski trail, skiing& Downhill Mountain Biking (summer season).     Enjoy one of the most scenic drives in the country, The Turnagain Arm Tour

    Today, you will join the Turnagain Arm Tour, one of the most popular full-day tours in Girdwood, Alaska. After breakfast at the hotel, you will depart for Mt. Alyeska. As you travel along the Turnagain Arm along the Seward Highway, one of the most scenic drives in the country, your private guide will narrate the stories of the area. We must warn you in advance; you will be amazed at the astonishing views as you ride a scenic tram to the top of the mountain! As you continue your journey, your next stop will be Portage Valley, which includes many wonders of nature, such as a frozen waterfall, Portage Lake, and hanging glaciers. After, you will stop for lunch. For our last leg of the journey, we will explore the Alaska Wildlife Conservative Center, where your guide will introduce you to the animals that live in Alaska, such as owls, elks, moose, bears, and many more. Before finishing the day, you will take a cruise (1 hour) to the face of Portage Glacier. Throughout the cruise, you will learn about the glacier, watch ice calve into the water and learn about global warming and how it affects the area. After the cruise, the tour will be over, and you will be transferred back to your resort.

    Arrive at Whitter for a cruise ride to observe local wildlife

    After breakfast, your driver will pick you up and depart for a transfer to Whitter for a cruise ride. You will board the Prince William Sound and visit many activities for a 4.5-hour-long cruise. On this tour, you will be able to observe local wildlife such as harbor seals, sea otters, sea lions, sea birds, and more. You will also witness the incredible views of the massive ice that feeds the Blackstone, Beloit, and Northland glaciers. You will also indulge yourself with a delicious lunch which will be served on board while you are exploring the environment. After the tour, you will return to your resort with a private transfer.

    Stop at Alaska’s Musk Ox Farm and enjoy an excellent spot for watching the Northern Lights in Matanuska Valley

    Today, you will depart for Matanuska Valley with a private transfer. You will have numerous places that will inspire you to take photos along the way. Your driver will make an en-route stop at Alaska’s Musk Ox Farm which is a non-profit organization dedicated to the domestication of the musk ox and the promotion of qiviut production as a gentle and sustainable agricultural practice in the far north. You will tour the farm and learn about these arctic ungulates!

    The Matanuska Valley sprawls across 23,000 square miles of pure Alaska wilderness which is a wonderful spot for watching the Northern Lights. Please be advised that there are no guarantees to seeing the northern lights. Your guide will keep eye on the forecast and will try to get you to the desired location before they are dancing in the sky. Your tour will be adjusted according to forecasting of the aurora borealis, or northern lights.

    See the biggest glacier in the state of Alaska, Matanuska Glacier

    The first journey starts today by visiting the fabulous Matanuska Glacier, the biggest in the state of Alaska and perhaps, the most impressive roadside glacier in the entire state. Marvel at the ice (some 15,000 years ago) within this glacier that spans another 50 miles west to the Palmer area. You can walk up to this glacier, so be ready to start traversing the glacier on foot. While having a fantastic time hiking the Matanuska glacier, your guide will tell you all about the history of this magnificent glacier and the surrounding landscape. We will leave Matanuska and depart for a private driver-guide transfer to Talkeetna.

    Welcome home to wildlands and many wild animals,Denali National Park

    After breakfast at the lodge in Talkeetna, depart for a scenic drive towards Denali National Park. En route, see the amazing hiking trails and stop to get the opportunity for unforgettable photos of the spectacular views throughout the drive.

    Arrival at Denali National Park and Preserve. The Park is around 6 million acres, home to wildlands and many wild animals, and much of the park remains devoid of human development. Denali National Park is one of the best places to get a perfect view of the Aurora Borealis (northern lights). You will have an excellent chance to live this unforgettable experience. Your guide may adjust the tour accordingly with the forecasting of the opportunity of seeing the northern lights.

    Ice fishing in Fairbanks

    Today is the day for ice fishing. You are going to experience the Alaska winter in a great way. Ice fishing brings much more pleasantness, such as the cold and fresh air giving you all the piece you wish for after your tiring days. It is quite like a meditation. To experience this adventurous activity, you’ll depart from the lodge with your private driver guide to reach your destination. You’ll watch drilling a couple of holes with an auger to reach lake water to determine what the bottom looks like and if fish are present. Get comfy in the heated fishing hut while you enjoy your hot drink in your hand. Fishing gear and fish bait will be provided for you.

    In the afternoon, spend your day relaxing at the healing water of Chena’s hot springs lake. Hot springs lake is a fantastic experience to relax and enjoy the peaceful ambiance. The outdoor natural hot springs lake is not chlorinated. All water constantly flows in and out of the hot Springs lake, creating circulation and natural filtration. The average depth of Hot Springs Lake varies daily by around four feet, depending on the activity of the springs.

    For the final night of our journey, we catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights as they sparkle in the sky's darkness. For those who have already witnessed this marvel throughout the tour, feel free to spend your time at leisure, including the option to return to the lodge early.
