    The Nyungwe National Park & Canopy Walkway

    In the morning, private transfer to Nyungwe National Park. Stop at the King’s Palace to learn more about the Rwanda Kingdom’s history about kings and the way they lived. Have lunch in Butare.
    Afternoon, proceed to Nyungwe forest.

    The day ends with one of the most tourism highlights. An amazing canopy walk atop of a 230 foot (70-meter) bridge, raised above the beautiful green canopy of the ancient Nyungwe Forest. One can identify several amazing birds from the bridge.

    Kibuye - Chimpanzee Tracking

    Early morning breakfast and drive to the edge of the forest where chimpanzee trekking in Nyungwe starts. Lunch at the hotel.
    Afternoon, reach Lake Kivu, Rwanda’s most attractive of lake ports, nestled in a series of interwoven and undulating hills. The visitors admire the spectacular views of the lake, its islands, and the stunning surrounding countryside. It is considered one of Rwanda’s hidden treasures, with its lush green hills and peaceful breeze.

    Volcanoes National Park

    In the morning after breakfast, the journey continues to the beach and the boat ride. In the afternoon, drive to Musanze – Volcanoes destination.

    Dian Fossey Grave & The Gorilla Guardian Village

    After breakfast at the lodge, start a nature walk to the Dian Fossey tomb.

    A famous American primatologist Dian Fossey started work in Volcanoes National Park in 1967. She worked to study and protect the lives of the wild gorillas in Rwanda touched the hearts of people around the world. She was murdered while protecting the mountain gorillas in 1985. A visit to her tombs in the park is one of the rewarding things for her great work to save and conserve mountain gorillas.

    In the afternoon, visit the Gorilla guardian’s village or Ibyiwacu culture village to learn more about Rwandan culture and engage in different activities with locals.

    Golden Monkey Trekking

    In the early morning, head to the entrance of the Park to see the Golden Monkeys. Now, it is believed that they are the only feasible population of Golden Monkeys residing in Volcanoes National Park. They are beautiful and endangered primates that have become quite habituated to humans, making it possible to observe them closely.

    Kigali - Tracking and Watching Mountain Gorillas

    After breakfast, transfer to the park. After completing the park formalities, we embark on a once-in-a-lifetime experience of tracking mountain gorillas.

    Once you spot them, you are allowed to spend an hour watching your closest long-lost cousin. Perhaps, This is one of the most breathtaking wildlife experiences on earth!!! You get so close to these awesome giant primates. You stare at each other blankly, not knowing who to break the long silence first. Tracking the gorillas through the light mountain forest is a magical experience.

    Be back at the base in time for lunch! Refresh and have lunch later drive to Kigali.
