    Athens - Full day exploring the city

    The second day of your delightful trip will take you around Athens’ treasures.

    Your private English-speaking guide will lead you to Acropolis Hill, following your hotel pick-up on foot. Admire the sacred hill’s many incredible monuments, such as the famous Parthenon, the Temple of Nike, the Propylaea, and the sacred Erechtheion, before walking the short distance to the Acropolis Museum, where you will have the opportunity to delight in exhibits and artifacts nearly 3.000 years old and learning the history behind each of them from your deeply knowledgeable guide.

    Next up comes the exploration of Plaka and its emblematic buildings of neoclassical architecture. Snap as many pictures as you can in this picturesque “island-like” neighborhood in the heart of Athens, and learn about the Choragic Monument of Lysicrates that lies on its premises!

    Following a much-needed break, hop on your luxury vehicle to bass by Athens’ most important landmarks, including the Library of Hadrian, the Temple of Olympian Zeus, the multicolored Monastiraki, with its vivid flea market, and the emblematic Syntagma Square, home to the Greek Parliament since the establishment of the new Greek state. Last but not least, take in the green haven in the middle of the city, the National Garden, and drive-by Panathenaic Stadium, where the 1st modern Olympic Games took place!

    Board the morning train to Kalabaka and enjoy a 5-hour scenic trip through the Greek countryside; a medley of sea blues, hues of greens, earthy browns, and scattered areas of rural intervention.

    As soon as you arrive at the Meteora train station, meet with your expert local guide and embark on a Meteora tour! Stop at the top viewpoints of Meteora, visit the caves of Badovas, and go inside 3 Meteora Monasteries.     Delphi - Travel south to iconic Delphi and explore the beautiful mountains cape at Arachova

    Today you travel south to iconic Delphi. As the road unfolds, your driver will take a most exciting detour to Pavliani, a traditional village at 1030 meters (3380 ft.) that harmoniously sits amidst a forest of the plane, maple, chestnut, and walnut trees! As you admire the scenery from the comfort of your private transfer, imagine a time when prophets were chewing bay leaves to foresee the future, and mythical gods ruled from the high mountains.
