Maui’s famous black sand beach is in Waianapanapa State Park, about three miles north of the town of Hana, where you can explore the black sand and take in views of taro patches on the Keanae Peninsula. It was created by flowing lava and juts into the ocean, where waves crash against jagged volcanic rocks. The turquoise water is stunning in Pua’a Ka’a State Park and is an ideal swimming spot. Enjoy exclusive access to remote waterfalls, visiting Pua’a Ka’a State Park and Wailua Falls, the latter best known for its appearance on Fantasy Island.

Today you will be transferred to the airport to take your flight to the Big Island, which is the youngest and largest island in the Hawaiian chain. Nearly twice as big as all the other Hawaiian Islands combined.
On arrival, meet your driver at the airport, and transfer to your hotel on Kohala Coast, which is known for its world-class shoreline as well as for the cultural and archaeological gems nestled between its centuries-old lava fields. Relax on the stunning tropical eastern coast of the island for the rest of the day.
Peer into the depths of Halemaumau Crater
Venture on an in-depth volcanic exploration accompanied by your knowledgeable and certified private guide. You will explore cascading waterfalls, craters, and the tsunami-stricken city of Hilo. Prepare journey from sea level to the nearly 14,000-foot summit of Mauna Kea reveals the wonders and world-class clarity of the Hawaiian night sky. Maunakea has an unobstructed view of the horizon and the sky, located in the center of Hawai’i Island, and offers a breathtaking view that is hard to match. After sundown, it’s time to explore the star-filled night sky from one of the best stargazing spots in the world. Using a green laser and a computerized telescope, your guide will show stars and constellations. Enjoy a warm picnic dinner and learn about Hawaiian star navigation. This tour is not recommended for those who may be pregnant, individuals with health conditions, or children under 13.
