In the Javas’ biggest crater lake in Ijen Crater. This sulfur crater lake lies between natural dams of deeply etched rock.  Inside the crater, there are different colors and sizes of stones. Indeed the crater of Ijen is a beautiful garden of stone as well. It is 660 feet deep and contains about 36 million cubic meters of steaming acid water, shrouded in a smelling swirling sulfur cloud.

    Magelang - Explore the Buddhist Temple

    Breakfast at the hotel. At the scheduled time, meet with your guide for a full-day excursion to explore the Buddhist temple. Today a visit to Borobudur Temple, the massive stone stupa of Borobudur is one the greatest of all ancient architectural monuments. Built with forced labor from the surrounding countryside between AD 750 and 850, Borobudur predates Angkor Wat in Cambodia by three centuries. Though a Buddhist creation, it incorporates Persian, Babylonian, and Greek influences.

    Continue the program for a tour to Desa Candirejo. Enjoy a “Dokar” - local horse carriage - ride or a bike ride to explore a small village and its surrounding plantations to witness the local way of life. Observe local home industries: sweet potato crackers making, traditional herbal medicine preparation, bamboo carving. Learn how to play the Javanese Gamelan. Attend and join traditional krubosiswo dance which is easy to learn and very popular with local youngsters. Proceed to the hotel in the Magelang area overnight.

    Blitar - Explore the Mangkunegaran Palace

    Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, explore the Mangkunegaran that is a small palace in the center of Solo city, and is a fine example of Javanese-European blend architecture. On the way, visit a local antique market, then continue crossing the border between Central and East Java through tea plantations to the city of Blitar. Arrive in the afternoon and overnight in the city of Blitar.

    Bromo - Visit The Biggest Hindu Temple Candi Penataran

    Breakfast at hotel, morning visit the most important archaeological remains from the Majapahit period. Candi Penataran, located 10 km north of Blitar on the slopes of Mount Kelud. Candi Penataran is the biggest Hindu temple which occupies a special position among all temples to be found in East Java. Known to ancient literature and inscriptions as Palah, this temple appears to have undergone continuous construction for 250 years. Its importance can be witnessed further by the regular visits paid by King Hayam Wuruk of Majapahit, as mentioned in the Negarakertagama. Even though Penataran dates back to at least the reign of King Airlangga of Kediri at the end of the 12th century, the remains which we see today are almost entirely the work of Majapahit architects and builders. Afterward, drive to Bromo overnight.

    Watching Sunrise to Bromo

    In the early morning, depart to Bromo to watch the gorgeous sunrise. Later, back to the hotel for breakfast, then free time until your departure to Ijen for the next accommodation. Arrival in the afternoon to Ijen for overnight.

    Plataran - Explore the Rural Villages, Coffee and Clove Plantations

    After an early wake-up call and breakfast, a 4x4 vehicle carries you through the rural villages, coffee and clove plantations, and then into one of Java’s last rainforests. Humidity, wildlife, giant ferns, and big trees cover the slope of the mountain. From the Park Ranger’s post starts the 90-minute hike to Ijen Crater. The stunning view is unveiled at 2383 meters (7800 ft.) altitude. The lake's eerie color and smoke wafting from bright yellow sulfur deposits create the landscape desolate, barren, and vibrantly alive. Watching miners descending into the crater and re-emerge carrying up to 80 kg (175 lb.) of ore on bamboo baskets along the treacherous path. Afterward, walk back down to the mountain. Return to the hotel for a short rest. Then we will proceed to Ketapang for a ferry excursion. After the arrival at Gilimanuk, go to Menjangan. Overnight at Menjangan.
