  • DAY 2

    Tel Aviv - Caerarea - Haifa - Megiddo - Tiberias

    Leave for Caesarea, the city of Herod, to visit the ruins of the Roman Theatre and the Crusader City. Proceed to Haifa and enjoy panoramic views from Mount Carmel. Visit Megiddo (Armageddon) national park, where the last great battle on earth is due to take place. 

    Dinner and overnight in Tiberias.

  • DAY 3

    Tiberias - Banias

    Drive by the Sea of Galilee, stopping at sites that reflect the life and teachings of Jesus. Places of historical relevance to Christians: the Mount of Beatitudes, where the Sermon on the Mount took place;  Capernaum, where Jesus started his public ministry, including visits to the Ancient Synagogue and House of St Peter; and Tabgha, the site of the Miracle of the Loaves and Fishes. Continue to Banias, a source of the Jordan River, where Herod’s son, Philip, established the capital of his kingdom in the Upper Galilee.  

    Return for dinner and overnight in Tiberias.

    Cana - Nazareth - Jericho - Jerusalem

    Visit the Church of the First Miracle in Cana, where Jesus turned water into wine, with an opportunity for couples to renew their marriage vows. Drive to Nazareth to visit the Church of the Annunciation, Mary’s Well, St Joseph’s Church, and Nazareth Village, a recreation of Nazareth from the time of Jesus. Drive through the Jordan Valley to Jericho, the oldest city in the world, and a view of the Mount of Temptation.

    Arrival in Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.

    Old City Jerusalem - Bethlehem

    Drive to the Mount of Olives to enjoy a spectacular view of the holy city. From there we descend to Josaphat Valley, visit the Pater Noster Church and the Church of Ascension, the Garden of Gethsemane and the Church of All Nations. After lunch, we enter the Old City to walk the Stations of the Cross (Via Dolorosa) to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. Then to the Garden Tomb, with a possibility for Holy Communion. Drive to Bethlehem to visit the Basilica of the Nativity and the Shepherd’s Fields.  

    Back to Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.

  • DAY 6

    Jerusalem Old and New

    Entry via Dung Gate to visit the Western Wall and the Temple Mount.  Proceed to Mount Zion to visit the Cenacle (the room of the Last Supper), King David's Tomb, and the Dormition Abbey. In the afternoon, visit the Shrine of the Book at the Israel Museum to see the Dead Sea Scrolls and the scale Model of Jerusalem as it was in Jesus’ time. On to Yad Vashem, the Holocaust memorial museum.  

    Return to hotel for dinner and overnight.

    Dead Sea - Jerusalem

    Descent through the Judean Desert to the Dead Sea, 400 meters below sea level. A trip by cable car to the top of Masada fortress, built by Herod the Great in the 1st Century BC and renowned as the site of last stand by Jewish rebels against the Romans. Visit Qumran where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered, and then float in the salt-rich waters of the Dead Sea before heading back to Jerusalem.

    Departure Day
