  • DAY 1

    Welcome to Israel

    A representative will meet you and transfer you to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay in Tel Aviv.

  • DAY 2

    Jaffa – Caesarea – Druze Villages – Mukhraqa – Haifa

    Head towards Jaffa, the oldest active harbor in the world and the place where Jonah reputedly stepped ashore from the whale’s mouth and Perseus circled the harbor on his winged horse Pegasus. Continue to Caesarea, the city of Herod, to visit the ruins of the  Roman Theatre and the Crusader City. Next on to the Druze Villages on the slopes of Mount Carmel to visit their street bazaars. Then a drive to Mukhraqa, a renowned viewpoint, and a visit to the Carmelite Monastery of St Elijah. Finally, onwards to Haifa to enjoy the panoramic views from Mount Carmel.

  • DAY 3

    Haifa – Bahai Gardens – Megiddo – Nazareth – Cana – Sepphoris – Acre – Haifa 

    Visit Haifa’s domed shrine of the Bab set in breathtaking gardens, one of the city’s landmarks and world headquarters of the Bahai faith. Continue to Megiddo national park, where the last great battle on earth is due to take place. Then on to Nazareth to visit the Basilica of Annunciation and the Well of the Virgin Mary. Next to Cana, where Jesus performed the miracle of turning water into wine during a wedding celebration. Then a visit to Sepphoris, considered to be the birthplace of Mary’s parents, Joachim and Anna. Continue to Acre to visit the Crusader City and onto Haifa.

  • DAY 4

    Sea of Galilee –Tabgha – Capernaum – Safed – Tiberias 

    Drive to Tiberias, by the Sea of Galilee, to Tabgha, the site of the Miracles of the Loaves and Fishes. Then to Capernaum, where Jesus started his ministry, to visit the Ancient Synagogue and House of St Peter. Drive to the Mount of Beatitudes, where the Sermon on the Mount took place. Continue to Safed, a hilltop town with a rich heritage of Jewish mysticism and an artists’ colony. Then on to the Baptismal site on the River Jordan.

    Tel Hazor – Banias – Belvoir – Beit Shean – Kibbutz Almog

    Visit Tel Hazor and Banias, the beautiful nature reserve and the site of an important 1st Century city. Continue to Belvoir, where a ruined 12th Century Crusader castle offers magnificent views over the Jezreel and Jordan Valleys, Jordan’s Gilead Mountains and the Sea of Galilee. Finally, drive to Beit Shean to see the Roman Theatre. 

    Dinner and overnight in Kibbutz Almog.

  • DAY 6

    Jericho – Qumran – Ein Gedi – Dead Sea – Masada – Arad

    A visit to Jericho, the oldest city in the world, to the Mount of Temptation. Then on to Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered.  Drive to the Dead Sea, 420 meters (1380 ft.) below sea level, to float in the salt-rich waters. Then ascend by cable car to the top of Masada Fortress and learn the heroic story of the last stand by Jewish rebels against the Romans.

    Proceed to Arad for dinner and overnight.

  • DAY 7

    Tel Arad – Beersheva – Ashdod – Ashkelon – Beit Guvrin – Jerusalem  

    Visit Tel Arad, Israel’s best example of an Early Bronze Age city. Proceed to Beersheva, the capital of the Negev, to see Abraham’s Well and the remains of the ancient town’s walls and houses. Continue to Ashdod, one of five great Philistine cities, to visit a Fatimid fortress and then view the surroundings from the top of Yaffa Ben-Ami Memorial Hill. Visit Ashkelon, another great Philistine city, believed to be the birthplace of Herod the Great. Finally, on to Beit Guvrin to view some of the 4,000 limestone caves and hollows eroded by water and learn the heroic story of the Jewish revolt against the Romans.

    Jerusalem – Bethlehem

    Enter the Old City of Jerusalem via Dung Gate to visit the Western Wall and Temple Mount. Proceed to Mount Zion to visit the Cenacle (the room of the Last Supper), King David’s Tomb, and the Dormition Abbey. Drive into the western part of Jerusalem to view the Hebrew University, the Parliament House, and the Supreme Court. Drive to Bethlehem to visit the Church of the Nativity and the Shepherd’s Fields.

    Return for dinner and overnight.

    Jerusalem

    Drive to the Mount of Olives to enjoy spectacular views of the holy city. On the Mount of Olives, visit the Pater Noster Church and the Church of Ascension. From there descend to Josaphat Valley to the Garden of Gethsemane and the Church of All Nations. Then enter the Old City to walk the Stations of the Cross (Via Dolorosa) to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher.
