Nazareth is today a big city, populated by Christians and Muslims (in lower Nazareth) and Jews (in Upper Nazareth, called Natzeret-Illit).  The older section near the Churches is crowded with small shops and narrow alleys.     Nazarteh - Cana - Haifa

    Explore Nazareth, the city of Jesus’ childhood, including the Basilica of the Annunciation and Mary’s Well. On to Cana, where Jesus performed his first miracle at a wedding feast, turning water into wine. Transfer to Haifa and the Stella Maris Monastery on Mount Carmel.

    Tiberias - Sea of Galilee - Mount Tabor

    Transfer to the Sea of Galilee, visiting sites that reflect the life and teachings of Jesus: the Mount of Beatitudes, where the Sermon on the Mount took place; and Capernaum, where Jesus started his public ministry, that includes the Ancient Synagogue and House of St Peter. Then to Tabgha, the site of the miracle of the Loaves and Fishes. Transfer to Mount Tabor to visit the site of the Transfiguration of Jesus.  

    Overnight in Nazareth.

    Nazareth - Jordan Valley - Jericho - Jerusalem

    After the breakfast, depart for Jericho, the oldest city in the world, stopping to see the Mount of Temptation. Visit Kasar el Yahud, the site of Jesus’ baptism. Visit Bethany and St Lazarus's Tomb. 

    Proceed to Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.

    Bethlehem - Jerusalem

    Transfer to Bethlehem to visit the Church of the Nativity and the Shepherd's Fields. On to Ein Karem to see the Church of Visitation, named for Mary’s visit, and the Church of St John the Baptist. Head to the Knesset to see the Golden Menorah.

    Jerusalem Old City

    Breakfast at the hotel and transfer to the Mount of Olives to enjoy spectacular views over the holy city. Visit the Pater Noster Church and the Church of Ascension, and then descend to Josaphat Valley to see the Garden of Gethsemane and the Church of All Nations. Continue to Mount Zion to visit the Cenacle (the room of the Last Supper), King David's Tomb and the Dormition Abbey.  Enter the Old City via Dung Gate to visit the Western Wall. Walk the Stations of the Cross (Via Dolorosa) to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher.

    Qumran - Masada - Jerusalem

    Breakfast at the hotel and transfer to the Dead Sea (1375 feet below sea level) to visit Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. Then ascend by cable car to Masada Fortress, to learn the heroic story of the last stand by Jewish rebels against the Romans. Return to the Dead Sea to float in its salt-rich waters before heading to Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.
