Florence - Tuscan city of Siena

Morning departure with a private car to the beautiful Tuscan city of Siena. Meet Our expert local guide for a full-day private tour of Siena & San Gimignano. Siena is an important city for its architecture and the Museum of Districts. Famous for its annual Pageantry Horse race the Palio where each competing horse represents a different District. In Siena, we suggest sampling some of the delicious traditional desserts like the Panforte in one of the famous pastry shops in the town center, followed by free time for a stroll or for shopping.
Continue along the Tuscan countryside to San Gimignano along the ancient Via Francigena route, lunch in a traditional little family-run farmhouse to enjoy some of the traditional local produce like the red Certaldo onion (Slow Food Presidium) and the organically produced extra virgin olive oil from San Gimignano. Visit the farm and learn about the techniques used to produce organic olive oil. Afternoon we suggest a visit to the famous towers and the San Gimignano and the Museum to admire the storyboards, the multi-media exhibits, the street scenes, and ceramic recreation of the city dating back to 1300.
