Mendoza - Aconcagua: The Highest Mountain in America!
Today, you will visit the panoramic viewpoint of Aconcagua, which, with its 6,960 meters (22,837 feet) of height, is the highest mountain in America.
After breakfast, you will head southwest along National Route 7 until we reach Potrerillos. We will contemplate the wonderful view of the majestic Cordón del Plata, Mendoza's main water source, and the picturesque Potrerillos Dam, a mirror of crystalline water in the middle of the mountains. Then we will continue along this beautiful road, contemplating the unforgettable landscapes, until we reach the town of Uspallata where we will make a strategic stop to get a better view of the valley as a whole.
Once we get back on the road, we get ready for the main course of the trip: Aconcagua Provincial Park, where we will walk for about an hour, which will allow us to experience the majesty of the highest mountain in America.
Once back, we will drive a few miles until we reach the "Puente del Inca" (Inca Bridge). A mandatory stop at this iconic place of our Cordillera. There we will learn about its peculiar history and get a great view of the bridge.
Once the day is over, we will return to the city, taking with us the best memories, landscapes, and experiences of Aconcagua and the imposing “Cordillera de Los Andes” (Andes Mountain Range).
