There aren’t many places on this planet where travelers are so well catered for – in terms of both man-made enticements and splendors of the natural realm. Bigger than the UK, with one-fourteenth the population, and filling in the gaps are sublime forests, mountains, lakes, beaches and fiords that have made NZ one of the best hiking (locals call it ‘tramping’) destinations on Earth. It’s renowned worldwide for having a relaxed, friendly, spacious and outdoor adventure lifestyle (think sport, walks, BBQs, and beaches). When you combine this adventurous outlook with a stunning backdrop you start to see why travelers rate New Zealand as the action/adventure/adrenalin capital of the world! New Zealand’s people (known as “Kiwis”) are well known for their welcoming and accepting nature

Here you will find the most enchanting beaches, which are perfect for sunbathing, as well as for a boat trip along the coastline with its many bays, wide beaches and small islands. Not to forget the beauty of the caves in the Abel Tasman National Park. Enjoy the trip along the coastline with its many coves, extensive beaches and small offshore islands. DAY 19
Lake Wanaka
Another highlight awaits you today!
You will be picked up from your accommodation in the morning and a helicopter will take you to Fiordland National Park, New Zealand’s largest National Park. Hardly any landscape better embodies the term wilderness than Fiordland.
Your helicopter flight takes you through glacial valleys to Milford Sound, where you land on the Fiordland Jewel for an exclusive boat trip.
With the experienced crew you will discover Milford Sound, one of the most beautiful fjords in the world, which the writer Rudyard Kipling once called the “eighth wonder of the world”. Steep towering mountains, wildly romantic gorges and magnificent waterfalls. To the west, 14 fjords reach deep into the forests of a rugged Alpine landscape. Not far away, snow-covered mountain peaks rise above alpine grass mats up to 2700 m. With a bit of luck, you will encounter seals, penguins and dolphins.
Let the crew spoil you at lunch. The cook on board offers seasonal dishes of the region, including lobster, crab and blue cod.
Pack your swimsuit in case you venture into the icy waters of Milford Sound. Otherwise, Fiordland Jewel has a Jacuzzi on the upper deck where you can relax and enjoy the view.
In the afternoon the helicopter will take you back to your accommodation.
