- DAY 1
Welcome to Yangon, Myanmar!
We welcome you to the land of glittering pagodas. On our arrival, our friendly guide and driver will greet you at the airport and will drive you to your hotel for check-in. On the way to the hotel, we will visit Chauk Htet Kyi reclining Buddha and we will check-in at the hotel and we will take some time for refreshment.
After refreshment, we will go to walk around Kandawgyi Park and take pictures of Karaweik Hall and Shwedagon Pagoda scenic view from afar and visit the Grand Shwedagon Pagoda in the evening for the most picturesque experience and transfer back to the hotel.
- DAY 2
Yangon - Bagan
After breakfast at the hotel, our driver will transfer to the airport to fly to Bagan. On arrival at Nyaung U airport, our guide will pick you up with your name board and your journey begins with a visit to the local colorful market where you can learn the local life. Then, we will continue our journey with a visit to the golden stupa of Shwezigon Pagoda for an introduction to Bagan’s rich history; we will visit nearby Wetkyi-In Gubyaukgyi Temple with exquisite Jataka mural paintings, the elegant Htilominlo temple. Then enjoy lunch at the restaurant and transfer to our hotel to reload. This afternoon, begin with a visit to Ananda Temple, an architectural masterpiece that is one of Bagan’s most beautiful temples. And then we will continue to visit Thatbyinnyu the highest temple in Bagan, the massive Dhammayangyi Temple, noted for its remarkable brickwork. Enjoy an unforgettable sunset over the Nyaung La Phet Hill. And back to your hotel.
- DAY 3
Bagan - Visit famous temples such as Laymyathnar Monastery Complex, Phayathonsu, Nandamannya with mural paintings from the 13th century.
Today we will explore the rural village of Minnanthu, where you can see cotton weaving and harvesting the crops in their field. And we will visit Bagan’s famous temples such as Laymyathnar Monastery Complex, Phayathonsu, Nandamannya with mural paintings from the 13th century. Then, have lunch at one of the local restaurants and back to the hotel for a break of a few hours to enjoy the swimming time at your hotel. Later this afternoon, our journey continues to Manuha temple with huge Buddha images, Nanpaya built with the sandstone, Gubyauk Gyi temple (Myinkaba) where you can see a very colorful mural painting of the Bagan period. If you prefer to visit Lacquerware workshops, our guide will assist you to bring a nice place. Then, in the evening, to catch the sunset, make your journey to the jetty for a slow cruise down the Irrawaddy River by boat. As we cruise down, we will observe the lifestyle of fishermen and riverside villagers as well as enjoy the unique perspective of Bagan’s temples. And return to your hotel and overnight.
- DAY 4
Bagan - Kanpetlet
Early morning we depart Bagan for a 45 minutes drive to the small town of Chauk. On arrival, we will visit the Chauk Market to shop for items needed for our trekking such as drinking water, wet towels, and tissue paper. Once we crossed the Ayeyarwaddy River by the bridge, we will see the impressive mountains and beautiful scenery. After about 2 hours of driving, we will arrive at Kazunma Village where we can enjoy lunch. We then continue to Kanpetlet in time for sunset from a hill station. We stay overnight at our hotel in Kanpetlet.
- DAY 5
Kanpetlet - Mindat
After breakfast, we drive for about an hour to the base camp of Natma Taung (Mt. Victoria). At the height of 3,053 m above sea level, Mt. Victoria is the highest mountain in Chin State. The path makes the hike to the summit much easier than it looks. We will hike to the top of the mountain which will take about 2½ hours from the base camp. During our trek, we will observe the life of the Chin tribe and will come across some breathtaking scenery including many wild orchids, colorful Rhododendrons flowers (Taung-za-lat), cherries, and several species of wildflowers and colorful butterflies in the lush jungle. You will note that the Chin women have various patterns of tattoos on their faces and wear amber necklaces. After lunch on the mountain, we will return to where our car is waiting and drive to Mindat. We take a 3½ hour drive north to Mindat and will pass through villages. Stay overnight at Hotel Mindat.
- DAY 6
Mindat - Bagan
After having breakfast, we will do sightseeing in the villages around Mindat and observe the different lifestyles of the hill tribes in villages. The sightseeing around the villages will take about. We enjoy a picnic lunch at a village house and then we will trek back to the car. Afterward, we will drive back to Bagan and take you to your hotel. We will stay overnight at a hotel in Bagan.
- DAY 7
Bagan - Yangon International Airport
After breakfast at your hotel, our driver will pick you up and transfer you to the airport to depart to fly back to Yangon.
Upon arrival, we will transfer to the international terminal to join your departure flight.
