Milan - Visit the city of Turin
After breakfast, departure to Turin by car. Today a metropolis that regards its past by looking toward the future, Turin carries an aspect of youth and vitality, given its numerous locals – from bars to wineries – proliferating in all points, beginning with its center, Piazza Castello.
Meeting with your guide and start of the tour from Piazza Castello, where you will see the majestic façade of Palazzo Madama and the Royal Palace, a harmonical all-in-one with Chiablese Gallery and the Library’s Wing (that jealously hosts Leonardo da Vinci’s self-portrait). You will then enter the church of San Lorenzo, the royal chapel of the Savoy family, considered one of the most beautiful churches in the world. You will continue our walk to Piazza Carignano. There we will see its homonym Palace that leads one of the most elegant corners of the city with its wavy façade, where the count of Cavour, one of the “fathers” of Italy, getting out every day of the Parliament went for lunch to the well-known Ristorante del Cambio. Following you will admire the Galleria Subalpina, a peculiar Italian Art Nouveau style gallery, to tell the story of Bicerin, the famous hot drink with cream, coffee, and Piedmont’s chestnuts chocolate, which you’ll have the chance to taste in one of the charming restaurants of the city center.
Dinner at your leisure, return to Milan.
